Arrow season 5 promises to be a big one for Oliver Queen and company. After all, at the end of the previous season, most of the team abandoned their vigilante mission for… well basically, anything else. It’s like they don’t want to be in life-and-death situations all the time!
Fortunately, this is Arrow and the whole gang is likely to be back, fighting for justice and their very lives, within the near future.
Who better than to tease when this might occur than the cast of Arrow themselves? Watch these Arrow season 5 video interviews shot at the 2016 San Diego Comic-Con in July.

Arrow season 5 premieres Wednesday, October 5 at 8pm on The CW.
The Arrow season 5 trailer was released at the 2016 San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday. What’s in it? Well, there is a whole bunch of Green Arrow fighting, along with some clues that things will be changing the new season. For one thing, Oliver Queen seems ready to take on some apprentice vigilantes in his ongoing quest to save Star City.
In addition to Echo Kellum’s Curtis Holt, the wannabe vigilantes include Evelyn Sharp (Madison McLaughlin) and Wild Dog (Rick Gonzales). There’s no word on which of these trainees will remain on the team.
The new trailer does make it clear that supposedly departed team members Thea Queen and John Diggle won’t be gone for long. Meanwhile, Oliver and Felicity are still working together to save the city — even while Oliver takes the office of Mayor.
Arrow season 5 will premiere on Wednesday, October 5 on The CW.
Who is going to die in Arrow season 4? A new midseason preview video released by The CW offers several tantalizing hints without actually naming the to-be-lamented victim. Is it Felicity after all? Could Thea be knocking on Heaven’s door again? Maybe Lyla is doomed? Why does Laurel have a bloody head? Did we see Oliver putting a gun to his own head?
The Arrow midseason preview video does not answer any of those questions. And it doesn’t give away much in terms of spoilers. Oh how it teases though!
Plus, the last couple of seconds — an exchange between Oliver Queen and Malcolm Merlyn — would make the entire video worthwhile, even with nothing else going on. Don’t miss that.
Also, don’t miss the return of Arrow on Wednesday, January 20 at 8pm on The CW!
Here’s the good news from the latest Arrow season 4 spoilers: Felicity Smoak is not dead.
But then there’s the bad news, delivered by Mama Smoak in a spoilery promo from Australia (previously posted by GreenArrowTV):
“The damage to her spinal cord is permanent. She’s never going to walk again.”
So that’s a problem… or maybe it’s an opportunity to actually answer the long-running speculation that Felicity would someday be Arrow‘s version of the comic-book character, Oracle. Of course, this dire announcement might not lead to anything permanent. It might just be enough to get Oliver Queen to fight Damien Darhk in a big way. That would be OK.
Whatever the case, it does sound like Felicity will be alive and maybe-well when Arrow returns with new episodes this month!
Arrow has turned its hero all evil. There have been hints that Oliver Queen (or al Sahhim, as he likes right now) will be marrying Nyssa al Ghul and then taking an evil death virus home to Starling City — basically the worst honeymoon ever.
An Arrow video promo from “This Is Your Sword” shows that Ra’s al Ghul’s plan is along those lines. Can a motley crew of wedding crashers — Diggle, Felicity, Laurel, Malcolm, and Katana — stop Oliver and Nyssa before this whole thing goes all Game of Thrones? The answer will come on Wednesday, May 6 on The CW.
Note: I realize that ‘Arrow’ is officially spelling Oliver’s new name as al Sah-him. But I think that looks silly and doesn’t really make sense. So I’m ignoring it. Sorry if that’s a problem for you.
Oliver Queen and The Arrow are done. Long live al Sahhim! A name that means… The Arrow. But what can you do? The League of Assassins is far more interested in killing people with medieval weaponry than creatively naming its operatives.
Anyway, things have changed on Arrow going into the final episodes of season 3. How different? While the official trailers released by The CW don’t give away much, a couple of foreign trailers tell us a few key things in the realm of Arrow spoilers.
1. Ra’s al Ghul doesn’t like competing memories in his minions. There’s going to be a lot of Oliver torture to ensure that al Sahhim and Oliver Queen aren’t the same guy.
2. Competition is not an acceptable situation for the League. This means that Ra’s’ original heir, Nyssa, has to be dealt with. Being “dealt with” by the League tends to involve many pointy objects.
3. Diggle might be a target of al Sahhim. That might be really, really emotional and stuff.
4. Remember how Thea is supposed to be different now? There’s a chance that some of that “difference” could involve threatening her brother with arrows.
Who cares? It’s far more fun to just watch a whole bunch of Arrow and The Flash characters going nuts in a series of cage matches. Not that there’s much of a contest here — good pretty much always wins, especially when it’s Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) or Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) doing the fighting. Still, you can’t deny that Reverse Flash and Ra’s al Ghul don’t get in some good hits.
And then Firestorm wins everything. One question though: Who was manning the scoreboard at that point?
Ray Palmer’s smart-but-clueless Atom shows up right at the end, breaking a hole in the basement ceiling of his own building. Apparently, he should have spent a little more time going over blueprints before building his ultimate fighting arena in the basement…
Is there a purpose to this video, other than to show a lot of semi-crazy people trying to kill each other? Probably not (although it may be previewing the next Arrow/The Flash spinoff, what with Firestorm, Captain Cold, and Heatwave hanging out). But this is always fun.
Prepare to have your minds blown, Arrow fans. And then put your brains back together so they can blow again and again and again. The newest extended promo for the final episodes of Arrow season 3 make it clear that the show is going out with a bang — in every sense of the word — this spring.
What’s in the video? Oh nothing big… Unless you consider things like a team-up with Ray Palmer to be big (high five!). Or Oliver deciding to break Roy out of jail. Or Thea taking on Ra’s al Ghul single-handed. Or Oliver accepting Ra’s’ offer to take over the League of Assassins (and getting yet another scar in the process).
There’s also a small matter of a rather steamy sex scene between Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak. Please, try not to drop dead while watching that. After all, there is bound to be a lot more to see when Arrow actually airs those episodes.
Oliver Queen is finally getting back to Arrow and Starling City in “Uprising,” right? Because if the videos from the episode are any indication, they’re really going to need him.
The promo (above) makes it look like Oliver is indeed back in town. This Arrow video also indicates that Sin is back (where has that girl been, anyway?), Laurel is continuing to hit people, Malcolm is angry, and whatnot.
What has gotten Malcolm so angry? A clip from “Uprising” may hold the answer.
Finally, and unrelated to “Uprising” — did you know Felicity Smoak had a stunt double for her sit-ups? The truth may surprise you…
The Arrow episode, “Uprising,” airs Wednesday, February 4 at 8pm on The CW.
