The CW later confirmed the news to Green Arrow TV, with the added detail that the League of Assassins head will first appear in the show’s 50th episode, “The Magician.”
A common figure in the DC Comics universe, Ra’s has been alluded to in Arrow several times over the first two seasons. Not only did audiences meet his daughter, Nyssa (Katrina Law) in season 2, but it has been revealed that Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) once trained under the legendary assassin.
Both Malcolm and Nyssa are expected to appear in season 3 (with Barrowman now listed as a series regular), although the extent of their interaction with Ra’s al Ghul is not yet known.
Arrow season 3 premieres Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 8pm on The CW.

The latest Arrow season 3 trailer poses an important question: Do you like Italian?
Obviously, Felicity’s answer to Oliver’s question in this video is yes, just like anyone who watches would need to respond if asked whether or not they like Arrow. Both Italian and the superhero show are excellent.
Supernatural season 10 is premiering in October with one of the biggest character changes in its lengthy run: Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) is going to be a demon.
But, as photos from the premiere episode, “Black,” show, Demon Dean might not be as evil as one might think. I mean, there are those who might contend that karaoke, beer and hitting on waitresses aren’t necessarily the nicest and best-intentioned things, but are they evil?
That may all depend on what Dean is singing in the karaoke photo from “Black.”
Note: According to Google, those lyrics correspond to a 1978 tune called “Imaginary Lover” by Atlanta Rhythm Section. It’s no “Free Bird,” but it can’t be that bad, can it?
Then there is the beer and the waitress… Those two things put together equal a Dean special.
What comes next — after the beer and the flirting — may not be so good. Will Demon Dean reveal the blackness of his soul later in the episode? Will Sam (Jared Padalecki, seen in the top photo having a not-so-nice time with Cole, played by guest star Travis Aaron Wade) catch up with his brother? Can he love a demon?
The answers are coming when Supernatural premieres Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 9pm on The CW.
Arrow season 3 is coming quickly and The CW has released the first photos of the premiere episode, “The Calm,” in anticipation of the October airing. See who’s back in the photos below.
Roy Harper (Colton Haynes) has a very different role to play in the new season — he has gone from mirakuru-hindered bad boy to hero-in-training Arsenal.
It looks like Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne) is doing much better too. Not only is he still alive (not a given, seeing as how we last saw him collapsing) but he might even be a captain.
One of the most anticipated features of “The Calm” would have to be the Oliver and Felicity date. While the new photos don’t show any hints of that momentous occasion, there is at least a picture of Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) together.
Finally, in a semi-surprising return, Sara (Caity Lotz) is back as the Canary. Why is she back? What sort of message or help does she bring to Starling City?
Those answers will come with the season 3 premiere Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 8pm on The CW.
The Flash doesn’t need big guest stars to be amazing, but bringing in another Prison Break alum to play the villainous Heatwave is still a pretty good idea. Dominic Purcell is the actor in question, joining his former co-star Wentworth Miller on the upcoming CW series.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Purcell will play Mick Rory, formerly a pyromaniac and now the supervillain, Heatwave. He will first appear in episode 10, an installment that will also feature Miller’s Captain Cold character.
Back in their Prison Break days, Purcell and Miller played brothers Lincoln Burrows and Michael Scofield. Their reunion on The Flash helps build up the roster of the Rogues, a DC Comic-originating group of bad guys that Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) will need to stop in order to save Central City.
The Flash will premiere Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 8pm on The CW.
Haven season 5 brings up a serious dilemma for longtime fans of the Syfy program. Is the character played by star Emily Rose still Audrey Parker? Or is she instead the evil and scheming Mara? Photos of the two characters, and a description from Rose herself give some answers.
Let’s look first at the familiar Audrey. This is the version of the character we have mostly known throughout the previous four seasons. “Audrey is a thinker,” Rose explains. “Audrey is trying to help, mend and care as a result of her hurt. She is a fixer.”
It’s a different story for Mara, seen in the next photo.
“Mara is a laugher. Mara is also straight up mean and evil, out of hurt,” says Rose of the newer character. “She is a ‘trouble-maker.’” Both literal and colloquial versions of this last description may be true.
Haven season 5 premieres Thursday, Sept. 11 at 10pm on Syfy.
